Moisture content in materials used for energy or steel production significantly influences overall system performance (energy costs) and can cause clogging.
In recycling systems, the water often causes blockages resulting in the installation to be shut down for a clean-up. Both scenarios effect the primary process and lead to downtime and extra costs.
When foam is sprayed on the materials (for example on the conveyer belt, screens, crusher and/or transfer points), the foam will make the dust particles moist and sticky so they can coagulate with bigger particle sizes within the material flow. It prevents the dust from spreading.
